Overwhelmed by change

I'm not happy with what's going on behind the scenes here at LJ. ponderosa121 getting banned for life due to her artwork has made me angry enough to start searching for alternatives. The main problem, as I see it, is that my friends are departing to a number of different locales and I fear I shall either lose touch with them or waste an enormous amount of time logging in to multiple journals and checking flists.
