On Sunday, after Stitch 'n Bitch, Jebra and I traveled to Woodhaven to go for a 2.9 km walk
through Woodhaven Civic Center Park. We completed all six Missions to earn the banner but I was so sore I didn't think I'd be able to make it back to the car and found a nice park bench to sit on while Jebra went and fetched it. The 45 minute drive home helped a little but I was still tired and the walk did a number on my arthritic joints. This lead to me remembering to ask my doctor what he thinks about CBD. He says a number of his patients report that it really helps them with pain control (but he doesn't recommend smoking marijuana). Ironically, I saw an article about CBD in AARP's magazine the very next day and it said the same thing. I'm still to cheap to go buy any even though we drive by two or three dispensaries every time we get Thai Food.
Last night we had our first in-person indoor Knitting Guild meeting since I don't remember when. Sometime in 2019 if I'm not mistaken. Turn-out was very good and I was very happy being with my guild sisters.
In mom news, she's bored out of her mind and she's having trouble with her eyes and needs to consult with a specialist. That appointment was made for October 12th since my brother and his wife will be out of town for a few weeks and they need to be home to take her. Other than boredom-related frustration, she sounds like she's doing okay. She wants to pick up a hobby but hasn't found any that appeal to her thus far. I think she's going to to check in with the commission on ageing and see if they have any recommendations.
Tonight I hope to spend some time working on our yard. Soon it will be too dark by the time we get home from work to do any.
