First, the good news. We have been given a reprieve by the city as the inspector said he can see we're progress on correcting the problems with our property. I am so relieved as I had visions of thousands of dollars of fines and payments to the city for doing the work itself. I am hopeful that by fall we will have addressed all of the issues and been removed from their watch list.
If it doesn't rain tonight we'll be outside working on it. We didn't on Monday due to jebra having band practice, and we didn't last night either as the Black Sheep took over The Yarn Stop for a night of in-person social knitting. It was grand seeing everyone and I used the gift card I won a while back to buy a skein a beautiful yarn. Which I now need to add to Ravelry and join it to the pattern I bought months ago.
There's no mom news this week although I did speak with her and she was doing great when I called. jebra's parents are still down in Indiana and also doing well.
Sunday afternoon, after the Stitch & Bitch, we drove down to Dearborn and played six Ingress Missions that were new to us. It was raining when we got there but we did not let that deter us. Afterwards we went to Thai Garden Restaurant for carry-out. It was still raining when we got home and the yard was very wet after we ate so instead of going outside I got an early start on my exercise bike and almost made it to bed at a reasonable hour. Almost because it was time for jebra to cut my hair and somehow he wasn't ready to cut it for another two hours. I peddled lazily while waiting for him which was great for my blood sugar reading Monday morning but not so great for my knees which complained mightily for the following two days.
I need to go back to Physical Therapy but between working full time and the need to clean up the yard there's just no time to go. Not to mention I still haven't found a provider that keeps hours that work for my schedule. If I had a million dollars, I'd open a facility that stayed open at night and on weekends.
