Project 52

There really isn't much for me to say about the week. We had a Black Sheep Knitting Guild zoom meeting last night during which I knit another couple inches on my Kyle's Hat. (Kyle is the name of the pattern, not a person I know.)

Over the weekend I called my mom and asked how her meeting with the real estate agent went. I don't know if she received an estimate on her house's value but I do know at least one of my brothers had a fit about the visit, apparently under the impression that my mom would be conned into selling her house for far less than it is worth. My mom was a professional realtor for decades so I think the odds of that happening are extremely low. As I mentioned last week, my sister wants her to sell her house and move down to Carolinas near her. My brother Brad said that if mom's lonely in her house, she should move in with him. His house is small and cute but not at all set up for someone with mobility issues and if she ended up in a wheelchair, heaven help her. Also, I think she's have a lot more interesting things to do if she lived down by KC.

[personal profile] jebra went down to see his folks on Saturday and returned on Sunday. He reports that they are doing well and were very cute together. He also got to see his brother, sister-in-law, and one of his nephews. It sounded like a very nice visit. I completely forgot that Saturday was also the Dorsai Irregulars social zoom and didn't jump on with them. ([personal profile] jebra did from the car during his drive down to Indiana.) Now that the world is opening up conventions are being scheduled again so there will be many opportunities to meet up in person. I'm a little sad that I won't be working any cons for the foreseeable future as I'll be home with Fiona feeding her small meals and hoping she will keep them down. I've already learned I can't give her a half can of food at once or it will immediately reappear. She isn't all that old but according to her stomach she's geriatric.
