Highlights of the week include Fiona overcoming her reluctance to eat (after taking her to the vet to have her blood and urine tested and discovering that the only noticeable things being wrong was likely caused by her not eating), Zooming with friends on Friday and again last night with my Guild sisters. Another one involves
jebra's parents. His brother has been up north with them for the past month which was rotten for his wife but good for the parents as his mom ended up in the hospital and then a rehab center as she needed intravenous antibiotics after the hospital released her. She's back at their house but all the kids agree they need to be in a more urban setting closer to family and hospitals. So there have been many conversations about what would be best and his folks agree that getting rid of the mobile home down in Florida (where they Wintered until this year) was a good idea. So that needs to be emptied and a new place to live located. Right when I was starting to think that checking for news about the election would be a good idea we learned that the apartment they were thinking of renting near
jebra's brother's place had another person coming to look at it and if they wanted it they needed to act fast. So instead of obsessing over the election my attention went to asking for information over text messages and texts between all three children and two of the spouses. This was so intense I never thought about the election until the middle of the afternoon and by then I was so relieved that we all agreed taking the apartment was a good idea that I was able to stop myself from looking for any sort of election results. Intellectually I know that the results will not be known until everything has been counted and that is likely to be a few days out. I'm apprehensive as to how it will all shake out and trying to stay optimistic.
