I know I don't lead the most thrilling of lives. Even so, COVID-19 has curtailed my activities and I have very little to talk about. We're stilling going into the office on weekdays; last weekend we pretty much stayed home. I know we didn't leave the house at all on Sunday. Saturday I have a vague recollection of going to the grocery store.
I know I knocked out another pair of cat beds over the weekend and I'm about 1/3 of the way through another. You'd think with all this practice I could decrease the amount of time it takes to make one, but no. It's still between six and eight hours (depends on the size of the bed and how disagreeable the yarn wants to be that day. I'm working with between six and eight strands held together and when they want to tangle I spend as much time straightening out the strands as I do crocheting them. Most of the time I manage to find a way to lay out the balls and skeins so that they don't get entwined.
My sister KC is looking forward to the end of chemotherapy, blood tests, and EKGs. Found out she lost not only her hair during the first round, but 50 lbs as well. She does not recommend this as a weight loss solution.
Mom was fine and in good spirits when I spoke with her. She was thrilled that she could go outside and walk to her mailbox. My brother Rob and his wife are doing their best to keep her away from other people, including their fine selves. Mom is bored and sleeping a lot but that beats being sick.
