Project 52

The first week of 2020 was a rough one. I came down with I don't know what when we went down to Indiana for the New Year. I was still sick when we returned home on the first and not feeling at all well when I took [personal profile] jebra to pick up his rental car on the 2nd. He drove to National Harbor, Maryland for MAGFest while I stayed home to go to work and get over the whatever it was. I'm still not at 100% but I am feeling a whole lot better and have worked my way back up to my usual two hours on the exercise bike. After five days of no exercise and very little food (since nothing wanted to stay put) I was absolutely exhausted after 45 minutes the first night I resumed biking.

Another indication of how sick I was is that I didn't pick up my knitting needles or my crochet hooks until Friday evening. I worked on cat beds over the weekend and have already knocked out the first three of 2020. I think I'd like to make fewer cat beds this year and knit more projects. To that end I spent some time working a swatch for the cowl I have planned. I'm having issues with swatch so I'm looking forward to going to guild next week and asking for advice.

In mom news, she's doing well but hasn't heard whether or not KC has been moved from the hospital to rehab. I haven't heard anything either. KC hasn't been responding to my texts but I figure she's been feeling too poorly to deal with them.

[personal profile] jebra returned home from MAGFest around midnight last night. It's really nice having him home and not just because I sleep so much better when he's laying next to me.

I hope you have a great day and enjoy the Currier & Ives print on your card. It was entitled Kitties Among the Roses and dates back to 1873.…
