Project 52

[personal profile] jebra left for Chicago on Thursday, after dropping me off at Enterprise. I left the lot with a Nissan Rogue, which I quite enjoyed even though it is bigger than the tiny cars I'm comfortable driving. Not that I was any good at parking it, neither forward into a parking space nor backwards up our driveway. I ended up on the lawn every time, even with the backup camera. Parking forward the problem was my height, or lack thereof. I could not see the painted stripes over the hood, so of course putting the car right dab in the middle was impossible. Fortunately I didn't need to park anywhere near other cars so it didn't cause problems.

The two days at work were typical work days, nothing new or exciting. Over the weekend I spent most of my time at home with the kitties. I finished another three crochet cat beds and took a number of unscheduled naps in the middle of making them.

Monday night Hamish the cat took a turn for the worse. We took the first appointment we could get the next morning. The vet agreed that it was time to put him down. He went peacefully which I suppose is all any of can hope for. I'm glad he's not in pain but I miss my little black kitty. I hope he's over the Rainbow Bridge and once again playing and snuggling with his brother Hector. He, like his brother, was a really good cat and deserves a happy afterlife.
