We had an ice storm last night. I woke up (briefly) around 2:30 and hear rain hitting the bedroom window. And I'd heard thunder earlier in the evening. This sort of weather just isn't normal. I'm pretty sure we humans have broken the planet.
I skipped the State of the Union address. Not that I have *ever* watched one, but with this particular president, I'm more inclined to think STFU.
SEMGS was great and there was so much delicious food. My blood sugar was much, much higher than normal the next morning. And I'm pretty sure I did at least an hour on the exercise bike when we got home that night. It is possible I'm fighting something off as both the kitties and myself are sneezing. Being sick makes my blood sugar rise, as does not getting enough sleep. Sleep is not entirely my friend and I can't figure out why that is the case. I can be so tired that my eyes burn and I have trouble keeping them open and I still don't want to get off the couch and go to bed.
Mom looked pretty good when we saw her on Sunday but for sure she's still having memory problems. She couldn't remember when she bought her house or when Ziggy died. (She had the house built after he passed.) And I noticed her struggling for words more than a few times. Still, her mood was good and she can still carry on a conversation. And I noticed some of the things she couldn't remember during our previous visit she had no trouble recalling this time. I'm taking that as a positive sign.
