The weather has not been my friend lately. One minute it is cold, the next I'm sweating, and I can't even blame it on menopause. We took advantage of the nice weather on Saturday by going to Southfield's Civic Center for walk (and Ingress) before going back to the house for jebra's Syrian coffee kit and the growler of jalapeno beer we wanted to bring to Burnfest. We brought the beer back from the Keewenaw with us, having bought it from Brickside Brewery. We had to stop there because we helped fund its opening through Kickstarter way back in 2012. If we lived in the area, I'm pretty sure it would become one of our usual hangouts.
In other news, my mom seems to be doing much better and has been moved out of the hospital and to a rehabilitation hospital. Not Mary Free Bed this time, but I'm not exactly certain where other than it too is in Grand Rapids. I need to text my brother Rob for the address. Mom sounded good when I talked with her a couple of days ago. If she works hard at rehab, she should be healthy enough to return home in three or four weeks.
