We've belonged to Costco for many years and I generally leaf through their magazine when it arrives. I did so with the July issue and ran into this article, Lessons from horses. It's one page, worth reading, and when I got to the part on the Alpha Mare, I thought "No wonder I don't trust Trump, he has none of these things."

Thank you for sharing, this was really interesting. May lacks them all too. But interestingly, Princess Twilight Sparkle has them in abundance. Wow! MLP writers really research their stuff. I saw a documentary on how a horse communicates its feelings to others through its ear positions, then started noticing the correct postions when I watch the show with BK!

Oh that's really cool about MLP! I've seen a few stills but have never actually caught the show. I know about through bronies, of course. :-)

Sorry, I originally posted this question to an older post, due to LJ's wonderful habit of messing up my friends feed.

Are you able to knit a scarf from a picture, without a pattern? My son who is autistic has been asking for a scarf that his favorite character, Barney, wore in a Christmas video. I looked but I couldn't find a pattern, all I have is screen shots.

If you don't work this way, is there anyone in your knitting club who might be able to? Freddy told me to just ask Santa for it, or maybe one of the ladies on the computer. I would of course pay for all supplies, shipping and, most valuable of all, your time. Thanks.

I'm certain I want to try to find a way to get your son that scarf. If I can't to do it I bet someone in my knitting guild will be able to do it and/or point us in the right direction. Probably the best start is to show me some pictures and/or screencaps. Or send me URLs for one or the other. Do you have any of my email addresses (mystery.com, helou.org, or gmail)?

Oh, if the screencaps (reread your message) are already on the web somewhere, just reply with the URL(s). If one of them shows off the scarf clearly, just one may be enough.
