The big event of the week was, of course, Thanksgiving and the annual trip down to Pendleton, Indiana, to spent it with my brother-in-law and their extended family. I spent the drive there furiously knitting the cowl I'd hope to wear at dinner, but the speed of my knitting was no match for the amount of yarn I had left to go. I didn't finish the cowl until the wee hours of the following morning. I did get to wear it with Friday's outfit though and that made me happy. Almost as happy as going yarn shopping at Black Sheep Yarn and Fiber Arts with the one and only Naptown Ninja (Did you all hear the story of the woman who held off an intruder with a sword? (Story link if you missed it).
Although I hasten to add that delight at shopping for new yarn was equaled by the enjoyment of sharing coffee and conversation with all three of our local to Noblesville friends. We had so much fun we were there for six hours.
We returned to Michigan on Saturday, and true to form, arrived home right around midnight. In part this was because we stopped at Jean & Marshall's house on the way home as they were not only hosting another (board) game day but our mutual friends Mary & Andy (and their two sons) were visiting on their way home from Tennessee. We hadn't seen them in *years,* so it was wonderful catching up.
