Not shown on the scrapbook page are any photos from Sunday's concert at the Franklin Cider Mill. I did take a few shots -- of the grounds surrounding the mill. I spent the concert up on the hill by the mill's "antique window" (I've never been sure whether the *glass* itself is also an antique or if the only antiques are artifacts *behind* the glass), where I not only had a good view of the band but I also found an old wire milk crate on which to perch. In addition to the view, there was a nice cool breeze to enjoy, but I got so absorbed in working stranded knitting while listening to everything that taking additional photos slipped my mind. Oops.
If you are wondering about the collection of signs in the bottom corner, I found them hanging on a wall in the shed housing the mill's candy apple red water wheel. I didn't take any photos of the wheel this year, but if you're interested let me know and I can provide an earlier one.
In other news, the dropped foot continues to be an annoyance. One of the things the doctor told me to do was to lose weight and I'm trying to do that with a combination of diet and going for long walks. A week ago I noticed a pain behind my right ankle. Yesterday I went for a follow-up visit with Dr. LeBan and learned that the new pain is a symptom of having torn the Achilles tendon. I have a script to have an ultrasound taken but naturally I haven't gotten around to scheduling an appointment yet.
I did, however, remember to get my flu shot from the pharmacy yesterday. So many people I know have already caught colds that I'm sure it's only a short time before flu season is underway in earnest.
As ever, if you have questions, ask away.
