We were hit by another big storm last night after we left the house to go have dinner. As far as I know the house still has a roof (50 mph winds) but we haven't yet visited as the power has been out since we left. Right now the estimate is power back around 11:30 tonight. Bella, this is why your card hasn't posted -- it is on a drive that has no power and no Internet connection.

In the "things are slowly improving department," all of the floor and ceiling tiles have been removed from our basement and we have begun pulling down the paneling and hauling it out to the street. Lots of that left to go before we start in on the drywall.

Oh good grief, indeed! Mother Nature can lay off us any time, thanks.

My house is intact and I have power, at least. Poor Alexkitty was unnerved by the storm, however. He's still skulking around the house like he expects Something to jump out at him.

You aren't kidding. The most recent storm did nothing to our house -- but a huge branch broke off our neighbor's tree and it fell on our garage!
