Remember a ways back when we talked about your need to repair the door handle on your car and you wondered about replacing it with coconut shell? Well I saw this car at the Detroit Maker Faire last year and immediately thought of you. The woman who created it did an amazing job; it's even better in person than it is in my photographs.

The DETROIT sculpture is by another artist, Carlos Neilbock. He builds really cool stuff (including windmills I'd love to own. If you're curious, you can read about him here. And see a better photo of his DETROIT sculpture here.

p.s. I really hope you like both scrapbook pages as they took slightly over four hours to create. Not to mention the six months of planning.... :-)

Oh muh gawwwwwwwwwww!! This is awesome!!! I totally remember that dang broken handle, I ended up fixing IT but breaking my side door speaker wire in the process...of course, haha. It's funny too because my car before this one had leopard pattern on the seat covers & steering wheel, etc...but I lacked that cool bamboo trim! lol I absolutely love the link you shared with the sculpture artist, that's right up my alley! We have one of those small garden windmills but nothing like he's created, amazing stuff there. Thank youuuuuu! ♥
