Paging colleendetroit

Remember a ways back when we talked about your need to repair the door handle on your car and you wondered about replacing it with coconut shell? Well I saw this car at the Detroit Maker Faire last year and immediately thought of you. The woman who created it did an amazing job; it's even better in person than it is in my photographs.

The DETROIT sculpture is by another artist, Carlos Neilbock. He builds really cool stuff (including windmills I'd love to own. If you're curious, you can read about him here. And see a better photo of his DETROIT sculpture here.

p.s. I really hope you like both scrapbook pages as they took slightly over four hours to create. Not to mention the six months of planning.... :-)
