Other highlights of the week include going out to dinner with my mom, my brothers Erik and Rob, and their wives, Diane and Diana; going to the Salvation Army in a fruitless search for a broomstick skirt (although I did come home with a pair of denim shorts and a half dozen skeins of yarn to turn into more cat beds); and my usual routine of crochet, knitting, and laundry.
