It's been a busy few weeks and *way* too many late nights. My short-term memory is failing me and long-term is suffering too.

Back on April 25th, we went to see the Stagecrafter's performance of Arsenic and Old Lace. I enjoyed it, even though the male lead was no Cary Grant. There were a few lines that had me rolling and I was surprised by the ending as it's different -- and darker -- than the movie.

The next day Penguicon started. Good convention but I had to leave in the middle of Saturday for a bridal shower. I was seriously annoyed by the timing as not only is Penguicon one of my favorite conventions but the father of the bride was one of the panelists.

The following weekend was SEMGS at one of our couples' new house. Their place is right on the Huron River and the view from their patio is beautiful. The next day we drove to Ionia to deliver a netbook computer to my mom. She's passing her old one on to someone else in the family but thanks to my wonky memory I can't recall who is getting the old one. I do recall jebra has been instructed to keep an eye on eBay for another one as my brother wants one too.

I thought the Black Sheep Knitting Guild was going to hold their last meeting of this school year Tuesday night, but I was off by a week. Luckily for me two other women made the same mistake and sent me to the Panera where many of the guild members meet on non-official-meeting Tuesdays. I had a lovely time and now that I know where the Panera is, I expect I'll join them there on a regular basis. The real meeting is next Tuesday. While at Panera I finished knitting the last Jayne Hat of the shipment I've been preparing for the California Browncoats.

Wednesday I caught up on laundry and spend a few hours scrubbing bloody paw prints off the living room floor. Hamish's foot, by the way, has completely healed. The missing toe hasn't changed his agility and he's pretty much the same cat he's always been other than he's one toe short.

Thursday night was SEMiSlug and I went along to the meeting. Which is to say we went to the bar for drinks & dinner and talked computers and gaming theory for a few hours.

After work tonight I mailed my box of hats to the California Browncoats. If any of you are attending San Diego Comic-con, you should have the opportunity to buy one. Unless Fox's lawyers get in the way.

Today (since it's technically Saturday) we're starting the day with a visitation and funeral, knitting at Artisan Knits, a house-warming in Novi, followed by a piano concert. If I'm really lucky I'll get to stay home on Sunday but there's a good chance we'll be visiting with the bride-to-be and her fiance to discuss what they want for the wedding service.

Fox's lawyers. ASSHATS. *scowl* It's like when DS9/Paramount used ear cuffs as "Bajoran earrings" then tried to stop fans making and selling ear cuffs as they had since time immemorial. Surprised they didn't try to stop people selling those ponytail holders that became Geordi's VISOR, too. Greedy mofos.

You are just living a social whirlwind, you!! Sounds lovely. I still ADORE my gorgeous, soft and wonderfully warm alpaca wool scarf that you made for me.

So glad that Hamish is not bothered by his missing toe! *pets kitty* A stray black kitty that I'm feeding (but can't adopt b/c my sister/brother-in-law don't like cats and it's their house) had a hurt forepaw but it's healing, so I'm very relieved. He's a sweet little boy kitty.

Black kitties are wonderful. I'm glad to hear your stray is recovering from his injury. And I'm delighted that you've been enjoying your scarf.

How did the play end differently from the movie?

As I remember it, the movie ends with Cary Grant's character claiming to be a teapot ("This is my handle and this is my spout."). On stage, the play ends with the sisters annoyed by Jonathan's cockiness and decide they need to take him down a peg -- by killing again (so as to have been responsible for the demise of one more person than Jonathan was).
