God I love the internet - Part Two

In my most recent Drive-by Update I forgot to mention that I attended the February 12th meeting of the Black Sheep Knitting Guild. At the meeting I learned that there is a cast-on that matches Jeny's Surprisingly Stretch Bind-off http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall09/FEATjssbo.php) and went to look for it this morning since the cast on edge of the chemo cap I finished at the FCB's Valentine Dinner Dance was tighter than I liked and I want to knit another hat using that pattern. Well, that lead to this video on youtube, which lead to discovering this post on the Curious Knitter. The post ends with

ADDENDUM #2, 10/4: A-HA! Confirmation that yes this does in fact exist in print. See Montse Stanley's Buttonhole Cast-On, p. 76, fig 2.37.

which made me curious about Montse Stanley and lead to yet another google search. I found a quick bio about her and the thing that caught my attention there was the existence of The Knitting Reference Library. The library was originally composed of three distinctive knitting collections: those of Montse Stanley, Richard Rutt and Jane Waller. The library appears to be split between two locations in England; the Winchester School of Art Library and the Hartley Library at the University of Southampton.

The only downside is that now I want to travel to England even more than I did previously.
