I really love the texture and the pattern--I'd be very interested to see how it looked in a scarf knitted in a single color.

Herringbone is a real pain to knit though -- On the front side, it's four actions for every two stitches; on the back it's three for every two. Not difficult once you figure out how to produce the herringbone, but time consuming.

I doubt I'd try to make one (I can only crochet, and even that I haven't done in about 10 years), but I'll look at the one on Ravelry once I sign up. :-)
