Tonight I tackled button holes. The Klutz knitting book illustrates one method of making button holes, but I wanted a wider opening. Searching the web was surprisingly uninformative, but eventually I found a site that illustrated what I wanted. I thought I'd followed the instructions perfectly, but my button holes didn't end up where I expected and and I managed to goof up the stitch count. I suppose that's par for the course for a beginner like myself, but it's still frustrating.

Buttonholes are not to stress over. Remember the key thing about knitting: If you don't like it, you can rip it out and do it over, and no one will ever know.

Yes, I've knitted some sweaters three times before they got done, but that's okay! :-)

Hang in there.
