Drive-by update and scrapbook page

Saturday was Nia followed by a quick drive home to shower & change clothes, then back into the car to drive over to Saturday Club (a monthly gathering of knitters). After a few hours of knitting I got restless and started missing the folks at SEMGS. So it was back into the car and over to Southfield for a few hours. I was home before dark (a necessity with my night-blindness) where I managed to do some laundry and finished knitting a shelter blanket for the Dearborn Animal Shelter. Sadly, we'll be in Dearborn on Sunday but I don't think any of the things I have piled up to donate will be able to go with us. I expect the car will be stuffed full of band equipment as the reason we're going is the FCB will be participating in the second Motor City Festival of Bands.

On Sunday I attended a Bridal Shower for the niece of one of my friends, someone I've watched grow up albeit from a distance. As another friend, Gini, noted, this was our first shower of the next generation. I think I'd have had a tougher time if it were one of the daughters instead of the niece, but then seeing as one daughter's out on her own and has been living with her boyfriend for two years already, it's just a matter of time.

Meanwhile, today's Fat Tuesday and I'll need tonight's Nia class after the two pączek I've had so far. Frankly, I'll be happy if can limit myself to one custard and one raspberry.

Haircut after Nia, then laundry and hopefully a repeat of L&O:SVU so that I won't want to watch and can get to bed at a reasonable hour.
