I'm told this is one of the worst years on record for pollen & allergens in the air. I believe it as the allergy clinic has been doing a booming business and my allergies have been so bad that I've had to add pseudoephedrine to the cocktail of prescription and OTC allergy medicines I'm taking in order to breath well enough to get some sleep. I think at this point I'm running on total of about 12 hours of sleep over the last five days.
I was home Monday and Tuesday nights, doing laundry, knitting, and watching my usual fare of crime and court shows.
Wednesday Jebra and I went out to dinner with mbumby, traveller42 and traveller42's father. It was interesting watching them interact. And the food at Camelia's Mexican Cuisine is always good.
Last night our friend Brian flew in from California. He's on his way up north to see family and to attend a class reunion, but detoured to our part of the state to catch up with us and a few other friends. We all know one another so we gathered at PizzaPapalis and stayed until they started turning off the lights. The food was pretty darn good but it was no match for the company. We had a great time reminiscing as well as talking about more current events.
My plan for tomorrow is to drive to Aurelius Township for a family reunion. We didn't know about it until two days ago and Jebra can't make it as he's in Pittsburgh to help with security at a furry convention. Assuming I get enough sleep tonight make the trip safely, I intend to go. I haven't seen my side of the family in far too long.
Going will mean that I have to take the car in for an oil change tonight. I hope they can get to me relatively quickly as I'm tired and sore and all I really want to do is go home and get some sleep. Sore because I've been overdoing the knitting and crochet to the point where I have severe muscle pain in my right arm. That's another one of the reasons I haven't been getting much sleep -- my arm hurts bad enough that I have trouble falling and staying asleep. I took last weekend off from needle crafts and that helped a bunch, but then I had a computer upgrade go bad. I can't work without my computer, so yesterday, while my computer was down, I knit. For six or seven hours. Going by how my arm feels right now, that was easily five hours too many.
