8-pointed Star

Vintage Knitting

I've been making scarves for the National World War II Museum again. The one that has delighted me the most is this one:

(Click to embiggen)

As you can see from the image, it's a vintage pattern, the V for Victory scarf. What makes it extra special is that it was made with a skein of vintage S.S. Kresge Company yarn that I inherited from Jean Jambas Sr.

Paging greenlady2

Your card arrived today. I spent a good amount of time staring at the cover and thought the two men walking side by side toward the camera were John Sheppard and Rodney McKay. I've never known you to mention the SGA fandom, but I figured you knew I read it and would appreciate seeing them. I read the message you wrote inside the card (Thank you!), then flipped it over and read the info on the back. Imagine my surprise when I learned that I wasn't looking at an imaginary ocean-side area on Atlantis, but rather the Seawall at Stanley Park in British Columbia. The photography is as stunning as the seawall itself. I hope to visit there someday. And I still maintain the two gentlemen look like McKay and Sheppard. Thanks for providing so much delight with one little card.
