*hugs* I'm so sorry to hear about betagoddess. Would you like me to ask LJ support to give the account memorial status for you?

ETA: Already asked them. Again, I'm so sorry for you loss.

Congrats on the new grand niece!

Yeah, I'm seriously bummed about Betagoddess. I was so hoping that she'd beat her cancer. I think the account ought to have memorial status; you don't think I'd be stepping on any toes to just go ahead and ask you to ask them, do you?

Glad to do it. I'm so glad LJ gives us that option so we don't lose the words and memories when we lose a friend. *more hugs*

I should have a reply from the support staff within 24 hours. I'll make sure you know when it gets switched over.

Yeah, I thought she was doing good, other than pain from the drains. But I saw on facebook that she was back in the hospital yesterday and then the notice today. *sigh* I'm at work but that isn't stopping me from wanting to cry.

My god, Helen passed away? I can't believe it. I thought she was beating it. She was so cheerful.. as ever. What a terrible loss.

*Huge Hugs back* She's irreplaceable and I just can't believe she's gone. I honestly thought she'd beat her cancer.

She is irreplaceable and that is what's so hard. Cancer is such a filthy disease. Despite all the concern about heart attacks, obesity and stress, the thing that still kills more people than anything is bloody cancer.

*hugs back*

I really believed she'd go into remission. I'm going to feel her loss for a long time, as I'm sure all of us who knew her will.

Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to getting to know Aubrielle. With her entry into this world coming so soon after Helen's leaving, I'm hoping that a bit of Helen's goodness has been passed along to the baby.

I did not have internet service yesterday, as it gets expensive.

I am both sad for your loss, and happy for your addition to the family.

Aww. I'm so sorry that you lost a friend. I just read your post, as I haven't been reading too much on LJ this week. My sympathies.

But also my felicitations on the birth of your grand niece. What a big, bouncing baby, too.

Sorry I'm so slow, and sorry to learn of your loss. I wish your grand-niece a good life, and echo your hope.

S'okay, I know you weren't friends with betagoddess (although I'm positive you would have loved as much as we her list-sibs did). And I'm doing a little better now that her daughter has taken up the reins and started her own LJ. I can hear echoes of her mother in her speech patterns and that's a lovely thing.

As for the newest members of the family, I haven't met either one of the fathers' babies yet (and not being into babies, that's fine by me). I'm sure I'll like them better once they're able to use words and hope that their father will grow into being a great dad.
