hello from elkhart indiana

i'm typing this on my phone from a parkbench somewhere here at the elkhart jazz festival. tim cunningham and his band are on stage. he's new to me but I like what he's been playing. previous was an air force band (forgot there name already & don't have a program book). I donlt know if they are the last act at this venue tonight. the crowd is thinning but the park still has many people down by the stage. i'm thinking of wandering as i've been on this bench for about two & a half hours - or maybe four and change. long enough to be 2/5ths through knitting a jayne hat.
