Last night, [info]jebra told me that he wanted to start bringing big pans of baked beans to the family's Memorial Day potluck before the tradition dies out. Today there was a pan of beans, but there was also a big sign saying this would be the very last family potluck. We're hoping someone else in the family (in the area) will step up and take over hosting duties. We live too far away to do it ourselves.

It will be too bad if your family loses this tradition. I hope there's someone who'll take up the slack.

BTW, thanks so much for the wiggly card, which arrived today. I love it. *g*

Oh, that's a shame. I hope someone does pick up the hosting duties. Or you can find a park that everyone can gather at (along with someone to set that up). The only "family reunion" sort of event that we tried to go to was on the west side of the state -- so we drove for 4 hours, found the park, drove through it -- and never found the event. Of course this is the same family that on another trip when we were in the area we called a relative saying "can we stop by now" and were told "no". Oh well.
