We did, but it wasn't anything like what I was fearing. Friends who live a mere 4 1/2 miles from our house, and who have lived through winters up in Houghton (Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where snow can be measured in meters), were regretting not having the type of snow-removal equipment they had when they lived up there. When we got home last night we had about eight inches of snow to remove from the driveway and the walk leading to our front porch. Some kind soul had already snowblown the sidewalk, easily halving the amount of time it took to shovel.
I didn't take very many pictures and the photos I do have are not wonderful. I was too busy crafting to spend much time with my camera. And I broke my sewing machine. :-( I don't know how I did it, but I managed to chip the metal plate with the hole where the needle goes in and out. I also broke a
needle and had the broken part disappear into the machine. After that, the bottom thread kept getting jammed up. I need to take it to the store and have them send it out for repair. Not tonight, as tonight's band practice for jebra
, and probably not tomorrow as that's coffee night. Maybe later this week or sometime over the weekend.
