Authorities do not suspect foul play in death of man who disappeared in 2003
REVIEW-JOURNAL
Las Vegas police investigating the discovery of human remains in the desert east of Sunrise Mountain don't suspect foul play.
The skeletal remains found May 20 on Gypsum Mine Road were identified by the Clark County coroner's office as Chad Robert Lightle, 39. Lightle was reported missing in 2003. The report was filed with authorities in Michigan's Lapeer County, but Las Vegas officials have not yet confirmed the city and state of Lightle's origin.
The coroner's office reported Lightle's cause of death as undetermined.
Jose Montoya, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department, said Tuesday homicide detectives are involved in the case but that foul play is not believed to be a factor.
