I'm at home, on my corner of the couch, and happened to glance out the window just in time to see a lightening flash. It's been raining for a couple of hours (and me with by back yard already flooded), but until now it hasn't been a thunder storm.

I heard one thunderclap and saw the lightning. It scared my senior cat out of the window perch. And that was it.

Of course, lightning is nothing unusual in these parts. But I've just learned from friends in Seattle that they're having a thunderstorm. And they never get thunder.

What climate change?

Now that you mention it, I only heard one too. Seeing as our houses are (guessing) within five miles of one another, I'd lay odds we heard the same one.

I feel cheated. I didn't hear much of anything where I am. I didn't even realize it was raining until I saw this post earlier. Then I waited. And. Nothing.

I just got a couple hours of being rained on and splashed by the cars passing me. I think lightening would have made the drive more enjoyable.
