What looks good -- the scrapbook page or the pizzas?

The pizzas were excellent -- I must have tried at least half of them. My favorite was the chicken and pesto (Sorry jebra) but I was also quite impressed with the first one out of the oven -- an apple and cinnamon pizza. I suppose technically that's a dessert pizza, but you know what they say (Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first.)

The scrapbook page looks good! *g*

And the pizzas all look tasty. Our son makes a chicken/pesto pizza that I often crave! It's one of my most favourite pizzas, too. He puts Provolone cheese on top. It is SO good.

I've only had dessert pizzas at Pizza Hut. I should make one myself some day. I could use Maltitol so that the sugar wouldn't affect J's blood sugar. You could even put cream or cottage cheese on it and call it dinner. Heh heh.

Eat dessert first, indeed! *g*

Seeing as I go through periodic cravings for peaches served with cottage cheese on a bed of lettuce, it sounds like dinner to me.

Oh yeah. At Pizza Hut, they put on this vanilla glaze and that would truly be the icing on the pizza for me. *g*

Bummer that we missed it. There was just too much that had to be done Saturday, though, and we just couldn't take the time for the trip up. Tom wasn't in the best of moods yesterday, either, and I didn't particularly want to inflict him upon my friends.

Looks like you all had fun, though.

I was bummed you couldn't make it too. Any good carry-out places by you?

There is a Little Caesar's right across the street from me, but it just wouldn't be same.

Looks yummy! What is in the bottom right, with the pecans?

Mandarin orange sections and caramelized pineapple slices. Opinions started with everything from "interesting" to "that's just wrong." After it was cut, though, it didn't last long.

Next time, perhaps, I'll make one of The Spouse's other favorites: pepperoni and pecan pizza.
No SPAM pizza this year. [sigh]

That one sounded good when you mentioned it on the list. But then, my mum often makes a dessert pizza, although the fruit aren't baked onto it. She starts with one of those prebaked pizza crusts, spreads it with hedonistic fruit dip, and tops it with sliced fruit (kiwi, strawberries, grapes, pineapple, banana, honeydew or muskemelon, etc). Depending on who's expected, sometimes she'll sprinkle it with shredded coconut.

That sounds rather like one of the pizzas in jebra's cookbooks. I meant to look for it before Pizza Lab (since it's nothing but pizza) but I never got around to doing so. It'd be easier if the cookbooks weren't scattered throughout the house.

Bob W made a cinnamon and apple pizza that was simply scrumptious. I think he said he used northern spies to make it. Whatever the apples were, it was excellent hot out of the oven and it didn't last long.

The apples were Empire from Meijers, believe it or not. The Spies were sparse this year I only go a few of them.

Glad it worked out as well as it did! (I considered a layer of cranberry filling under the apples too, but then time intervened.)

They're surprisingly good together. And it's a way to bump up the protein without od'ing on meat.

And that is an excellent scrapbook page. Captures the spirit perfectly! (And now I want more pizza!)

Thank you! (And so do I. Happily, I have left-overs waiting for me in the fridge!)
