OMG, the weather has really not been your friend lately. Did it cause a lot of damage?

I don't think so, I think it just crushed the very edge where the tree limb made contact. I am relieved no holes appear to be in roof as replacing the garage is the next big item on the repairs list. Right now the garage is in such poor condition our insurance company cancelled coverage on it. I was starting to make a plan about getting the garage empty so that work could start when the flood happened.

Good grief. You are having a terrible time. Take care, eh? I don't want to lose you.

I'm taking as good of care of myself as is possible. We aren't living at home and I'm wearing a mask and sometimes goggles when we're working. Goggles are problematic -- I'll totally wear them if we're splashing fluids around or I expect falling debris or a ton of dust -- but my glasses fog up when I'm wearing the goggles and then I can't see what I'm doing. It's much like trying to look through wax paper. I see fuzzy objects and halos of light and little else.

I'm up to date on my tetanus shot and we both started the vaccination process for hepatitis A & B. (Why isn't C included? Do you have any ideas?)

I'm so glad you're being careful. I dislike masks and goggles and heavy gloves myself. I feel shut off from tactile information when I wear them. But it's better than being contaminated by horrible germs, right?

I really have no idea why Hep C isn't included. Maybe they don't have a vacine? Or maybe it's not possible to catch it in ordinary ways? Hmmm. Now I'm curious.

No, we really aren't. I can't complain about the educational aspect though. I've learned all kinds of stuff about dealing with flooding and for sure it taught me (a) just how much crap I had (and in many cases, still have) stored in our house and (b) that the thing I appear to be the most allergic to is my own house. I've cut *way* down on allergy medicines since moving to Ginis' house and I've had far fewer symptoms than I've had in years. I'm still doing allergy shots once a week and Cetirzine HCL tablets each morning, but not getting up two or three times in the middle of the night because I can't breathe is a wonderful thing.

Maybe the thorough cleaning the house is getting will fix that allergy problem? Hope so. :-)
